Color Forecast, Part 3

This is the 3rd installment rundown for a 2013 color forecast presentation that I attended a couple of weeks ago. You can start from the beginning with Part 1 HERE.

Now, On to Orange....

Orange pallets will be seen with the use of "faux camaieux". Faux Camaieux is the mix of different tones and casts in order to create subtle tension. A false harmony. This is best seen in the first photo above, where orange, magenta, coral, berry, and rust all come together to create an interesting pallet.

Coral will also reemerge but will be used with a 70's slant to remain gender neutral. And, this is also where copper will remain an influence in both matte and shiny finishes.

So, what do you think? I can definitely see orange trending in this direction. Even this spring coral seems to be a hot color in the fashion industry. Then we all know interiors follow.

Next Week Purple.....
